Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines is one of the most awarded airlines worldwide. In 1972, the year of its foundation, the company’s fleet consisted of 10 aircraft flying to 22 cities in 18 countries most of which located in Asia. Today, Singapore Airlines operates a modern fleet of more than 100 passenger aircraft. The Singapore Airlines Group comprises the Parent Airline Company, Singapore Airlines, as well as SIA Engineering Company, SIA Cargo, full-service regional airline SilkAir, travel agency Tradewinds, and low-cost medium-to-long-haul carrier Scoot.

Singapore Airlines was the first airline worldwide to fly the Airbus A380 in 2007. The airline offers flights to more than 60 destinations in 35 countries. These figures increase to more than 100 destinations in 37 countries when SilkAir and Singapore Airlines Cargo are included. Singapore Airlines offers a daily nonstop flight from Zurich to Singapore. Since March 28th 2010, this route is being operated with an Airbus A380.

The elegant ‘Singapore Girl’ symbolises the standards of the Singapore Airlines service quality. In her distinctive uniform, the Sarong Kebaya, designed by French couturier Pierre Balmain, she embodies Singapore Airlines traditions of excellent service and Asian hospitality since 1972. She’s considered the icon with the highest recognition value in the airline industry. Over the years, the Singapore Girl has won the hearts of travellers worldwide.

Singapore Airlines has been offering unique, rewarded service – which even other airlines talk about – for more than 40 years. True to the motto, Singapore Airlines – A great way to fly.’
